The Piper's Son - Melina Marchetta I started this right after I finished up Saving Francesca. So I was expecting a light read like it. But it wasn't. The characters are grown up and the story is also grown. I liked Tom, I still dislike Will. Tom's family's sadness (Tom Finch) is something real that families carry. (Just like depression in Francesca) It's a story that was deep and pulled you in and not a story you could read lightly.
Usually there is one character that is annoying in a book, but I didn't feel that way with any of these characters.
