I was hesitant to read this because I thought Mia & Adam would always be together. So when I read the blurp my heart sank. Why? Why are they not together? After hearing such good reviews I picked the book up and began to read.
If I Stay was heart wrenching, Where She Went was full of isolation even though there were people every where. When you read Adam's words, his lyrics, you feel the hurt, you feel betrayed almost. And like him, I wanted to know why Mia did what she did.
Toward the end of the book when Adam and Mia are talking about why she left, I felt a little relieved like Adam. Like, there now I know. But at the same time I didn't think that the book took the direction it was really heading. I didn't see Adam and Mia getting back together. and I don't think I needed them to get back together for this to be a good book. I'm wondering if that was too much of a HEA for the readers.
This book is well worth your time, it pulls you along and before you know it your turning the last page. (I really appreciated that this was from Adam's pov.)
I'm glad I got to see Adam and Mia again, I almost wish I could see just an itty bit more.
