At first this books feels like one of those, I'm a teenager waa waa waa, my parents don't understand me, I'm spoiled. But then Katie is shipped off to boarding school and things start to change and I start to soften a little bit towards her character. I can't imagine having a brother who is unable to cope with the world, who as a child was your best friend and always had your back, but now when you need him the most he is..just not him anymore.
Katie goes through the typical teenage girl things while living at the boarding school for 3 yrs.It wasn't until the end of the book that I started feeling this emotional weight.
The only thing that bothered me was Katie's "put-offness" towards drew's religion.(I could go on and on about this) But by then end everything smoothed out with that..
The book left me feeling sad and a little depressed.
