Another book club read.
This one's about four ladies.
Lorraine, who works at a retirement home
Margaret, who lives in the retirement home
Rhonda, a beautician who comes to the home once a week.
Bernice, another resident, Margaret's pal.
Bernice doesn't get her own chapters like everyone else, instead Lorraine's daughter April gets chapters. Maybe it's because it's Bernice whose the glue that sticks everyone together in the story. The common thread.
I found the book comical in the beginning, but by the last quarter of the book I started feeling depressed and sad.
The women's personalities made this book a fast read. Little by little you learn about each one.
