That The Machine May Progress Eternally by Carrie Ryan

Rags & Bones: New Twists on Timeless Tales - Melissa Marr, Tim Pratt

This short story is the first in a book called  Rags & Bones: New Twists on Timeless Tales.

Carrie Ryan's story is Inspired by E.M. Forster's "The Machine Stops"

I haven't read Forster's story so I jumped in only thinking I knew what it was gonna be about.

I admit I'm used to Ryan's Zombie novels so I kept want dead people to appear in the story, some where!

It's only 26 pages long, I felt kinda lost for the first 8 pages, but then I saw where it was headed.

Think of the movie WALLE, how everyone got so big and in the chairs.

That's basically what I was thinking through out the rest of the story.
